Professor Abyss, (myself) has decided to make a Half-Life spinoff game. This game takes on a whole new storyline, based on the Star Wars "Legends" concept this game takes on a whole new storyline with alternate canon from a paralell universe! Development is starting out slow as I have just begun but I promise I will finish this project and you will be amazed! If only you just suppport me. I will probably show some of my journey along the way of development (within this website as well as social medias.) I just ask you all to please support me along the way and help me!
The first weapon that I designed was a .45 caliber Colt Single Action Army revolver. (AKA Peacemaker) I designed the texture similar to the cattleman's revolver from Read Dead Redemption. I thought I would try to make a new model for the revolver but then I realized it was the right size to be a Peacemaker. I haven't done thee viewmodel, just the world model. I will definetly have to do a custom animation for that. Not to mention the fact that the animation for firing is wrong to begin with. I'll make a post about that on X.
As I stated yesterday I was going to work on the viewmodel for the Peacemaker, and well.. I did. I have not finished the animation for firing and reloading yet (I might have to edit some vertexes and bones in order to animate reloading now that I think about it) But for the most part I seem to have this headed for the better. It took a LOT of trial and error to get the textures correct for the viewmodel. I originally tried using my own colors in MS Paint to make a wooden texture for it, but that ended up just being a bad idea because of the way the bitmap images and colors work with the Half-Life models. So in the end I ended up using a regular wood texture and drawing a bolt onto it, it doesn't look the best but I'm thinking when I get more settled int this stuff I cann redo the textures a little. The Raw textures themselves look pretty ugly but they work!
